Yes, the muggle world is infected with a virus and the Ministry of Magic is working on containing it... While the rest of us are forced into quarentine.

Well, welcome to my blog of Randoms. I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter. Yup, and this is probably why I decided that a Harry Potter themed post would be my first post.

Oh, and a bit about me? I'm a proud Slytherin. And a Slytherclaw, considering the house combos.

Coming back to the topic, I guess this is probably the only time all of us are ever going to be this free. And bored. And probably on Harry Potter marathons. Repeatedly. Wanting to do something.

Yup, same here.

So I opened my Pinterest app and checked out 'Slytherin Crafts' but nothing really appealed to me. So I decided to just mix them up.

Here are some ideas you might wanna try:

Nameplates for Doors

You can make nameplates for your room door according to your Hogwarts or Ilvermorny houses. Like "Slytherin" or "Ravenclaw", or just your Wizarding School's or House logo.

Or maybe just a sign like this:

Mood boards and posters

I found out that mood boards really do bring out creativity; and give whatever topic you choose a verry asthetic look. You can print pictures and paste them according to you, on any medim, or design them digitally. Yup, mood boards and posters be designed online, on sites like Canva which provides endless of options and layouts. You can then post them on Pinterest or other social media accounts or print then to paste them in your room. All you need is pictures.. and a bit of creativity!

Character Scrapbook

I've been planning to make one for so long now; a book with all my favourite characters of The Harry Potter series. Since I haven't made one I'll tell you what all I'd include;

Small Polaroid style character painting or sketch;
House logo and colours along the page;
Hobby or two? (Do they play Quidditch?);
Spells cast;
Known friends;
Characteristic behaviour; as in face or heel;
Death Eater or not
General bio data
And maybe a secret or quote said by that character
Maybe a sketch or pic of one or two scenes from the movies.

You can do that even for a general Hogwarts or Slytherin (or whatever house you're from) theme.

Redecorating your living space; Making a 'you' corner

What about adding a bit of Hogwarts to your house? How about creating a cozy space in your house (somewhere secretive if you like your privacy) and make it like your Hangout with maybe a cosy arrangement with house themed pillows, fairy lights, a window (trust me, that goes a long way), a house colour rug..

Maybe some novels or painting space.. maybe some candles and cauldrons, maybe a magical creature or a plant? I'm not saying they need to have a house logo, they can just have the colours (some not all).. something's can be green.. some can be silver... Some can be black.. or if you don't wnat to go through all that trouble, then just get a chair, some space, a window and coffee, and anything that relaxes you... And add a bit of a theme to it and your all set!

Making treats

Looks like this is probably the only time you might've had at least the slightest of interests in going to the kitchen to make something. I said make, not eat. So how about some Wizarding treats?

Make a wand collection

Have one or two wands? But what's the point if you don't have on display the greatest wands or wands of the most famous wizards? Go on, make a museum of them! You can find tutorials of them on YouTube.

Make a magical garden

For all the Hufflepuffs.. or rather all the Herbology interested students, make a cool.garden of your own! It doesn't have ro be big or spacious.. just try and add somw house pride to whatever space available. Add some bonsais and plants which bear fruits either to eat or to create potions.... Add a small swing, tables and chairs too.. And play some music! Magical plants are said to grow better if they can hear music! You can add a mini pond too, or a small fireplace!
